Jamie Dabao
Jamie Dabao Brown specializes in media relations, with an emphasis on consumer technology, entertainment & lifestyle, and professional services. Over the course of her career, she has developed and executed communications strategies for clients across a variety of industries, including healthcare, technology, human resources, higher education, broadcast news, financial services, and food & beverage, among others.
She has worked with USC Keck School of Medicine, NBCUniversal, Red Bull, and Casio Communications, as well as many tech-start-ups, such as Talnts, StudySync, Userplane (acquired by AOL) and Sometrics (acquired by American Express). Jamie currently serves as part-time Director of Communications for Woodbury University. In her last in-house role, as Manager of Communications and Community Affairs for KNBC – NBCUniversal’s Los Angeles broadcast news division – she handled media relations, community affairs and talent relations for the broadcast news station.
Jamie has numerous media relationships with reporters covering several beats. She has secured coverage for clients in top media outlets, such as The New York Times, Fortune, U.S. News & World Report, CNBC, Associated Press, Forbes, Businessweek, Reuters, Barron’s, Fast Company, Los Angeles Times, Newsweek, Smart Money, USA Today, among others.
